The focal point for the city is its cathedral with the tallest spire in Yorkshire – that’s a great landmark to have on the horizon. Several regeneration projects have given the city new shopping centres, the ‘Wakefield Waterfront’ – a buzzing river and canal-side development with galleries, cafés and restaurants - and a new life
