Alto doubles down on driving day-to-day efficiencies for agents

22nd June 2022

  • Customers are taking advantage of Alto’s AML integration with Smartseach - with agents reducing the steps taken to complete an anti-money laundering check by half

  • Alto’s letter editor is more capable and intuitive than before, meaning it’s easier to change and control the look and feel of your letters

  • Additional improvements have been made to the onboarding experience. Virtual tours and property lease data can now be imported saving more time for agents by reducing the amount of manual tasks post migration

Alto, the leading cloud-based software for agents and part of Zoopla, has revealed further insight into how its recent innovations are driving day-to-day efficiencies for agents.

Saving agents time

Agents are availing of Alto’s first API integration with Smartsearch, the leading AML check provider. Agents benefiting from the integration can carry out all their anti-money laundering checks, but in half the usual steps.

This ensures all Alto customers who benefit from the integration are always audit ready. SmartSearch automatically hosts all search data onto the central system, which is accessible at any time, and also monitors all checks against global watchlists to flag any changes in status.

The integration also benefits consumers. Documents can be uploaded and electronically verified, removing the need for them to bring physical ID documents to the agent’s office and saving time for all parties involved. The partnership with Smartsearch is the first of many API integrations, with more to come in the near future.

Letter editing

There have been significant improvements to Alto’s letter editing feature. Agents can now copy and paste formatted text (such as fonts, indents, bolding and tables) from other programs directly into the new editor. Using merge codes, data can be pulled directly from Alto into their letters. Bulk letter sends are therefore quicker and easier, removing the need to manually input unique data such as names and addresses.

Improved data migration for new customers

Alto’s new data migration experience - which will unlock significant time saving for Jupix customers who upgrade to Alto - has received positive feedback from agents since announced two weeks ago, with the exclusive pilot filling up fast. Among other improvements, migrating customers now have their Jupix property portfolios automatically migrated to Alto payment groups, saving tens of hours of manual work per agent.

For all new customers to Alto, additional improvements have been made to the onboarding experience. Virtual tours and property lease data can now be imported saving more time for agents by reducing the amount of manual tasks post migration.

Simon Woodward, Product Director at Zoopla said: “Many of Alto’s recent improvements and innovations have come directly as a result of feedback from our customers, highlighting our focus on providing an excellent experience for current users and our long term ambition to ensure Alto is the software of choice for agents across the UK.”
