Alto launches new document sharing capability, driving efficiencies for agents

26th January 2022

  • Alto’s new tenant document sharing feature allows agents to save time on tasks including managing tenants’ requests for duplicate documents

  • Alto customers can sign up for the beta of tenant document sharing before the new functionality is rolled out to the entire customer base in the coming weeks

  • Tenant document sharing follows a range of recent improvements to the software including enhanced reporting and a new AML integration

Alto, the leading cloud-based software for agents and part of Zoopla, has revealed the launch of a new tenant document sharing functionality, designed to save time for agents when it comes to tasks like compliance documents that need to be shared with tenants.

The new feature provides a single storage solution for both agents and tenants for deposit information, references and other key documents like right to rent guides which can then be accessed by tenants via a tenant portal at their leisure.

This will enable agents to provide a more seamless professional experience on Alto’s tenant portal, instead of attaching documents to esigning requests.

Alto customers who are interested in joining the beta for the new feature can sign up through Zoopla’s Research Panel here, while Alto will be rolling out further document sharing functionality in the coming months.

The launch of tenant document sharing comes hot on the heels of the launch of a raft of other innovations including a customer facing API and improved email templating. Alto’s new API also enabled a recent integration with SmartSearch, an industry-leading AML check provider that can streamline the process for agents, enabling them to meet legal requirements, quickly and easily. This was the first integration through the API, with more to come later in 2022.

Commenting on the launch, Simon Woodward, Director of Product at Zoopla said:

“The ability to share documents with tenants was a highly requested feature from our customers and we’re delighted that we can now offer this through Alto. This is only the start of what’s to come this year, with innovations in the pipeline including further enhancements to our reporting capability and improvements to our user experience which will benefit not only agents, but their consumers too.

“We’re looking forward to delivering even more value to our agents and providing a best in class software service that goes above and beyond to meet their day to day needs.”
