Byte appointed to boost Zoopla’s social media capabilities

3rd August 2020

Zoopla, the UK’s most comprehensive property destination, has appointed independent marketing technology agency Byte as its new social media partner after a rigorous pitch process. Byte, which was named as one of Britain fastest growing Tech companies in The Sunday Times Tech Track 100, will help Zoopla amplify its social media capabilities through social creative production, digital amplification, and dynamic optimisation.

Commenting on the appointment, Gary Bramall, Zoopla’s CMO, said: "Like all great love stories, teaming up with Byte felt like the natural and obvious choice. Our ambition to foster and amplify holistic storytelling via communities is where Byte is in a league of their own.

We believe the opportunities to create deeper, richer, more relevant relationships with your home on social are endless. Therefore, it’s a no brainer for us to partner with the brilliant team at Byte. Together, I’ve no doubt we can harness the excitement and joy of finding your dream home through targeted, data-driven campaigns that build ongoing engagement with Zoopla”.

Alex Miller, Byte’s co-founder said: "We’re delighted to be working with Zoopla at this time. While it has been challenging in the property market recently, we’re excited by the opportunity to help Zoopla build relationships with buyers and sellers across the UK by using creative, data, tech and media."

Byte will join Zoopla’s award-winning creative lead agency Lucky Generals and its media planning agency Essence, recently named Agency of the Year by Campaign. The three agencies will help Zoopla as it builds upon its positioning “We know what a home is really worth”, and looks to support consumers as they get used to the ‘new normal’ in the property industry.

Founded in 2007, Zoopla is a successful property marketplace offering services to renters, buyers, sellers and landlords across the UK. The company returned to private ownership in July 2018 after a purchase by a group led by American private equity firm Silver Lake. Since the purchase, its leadership team has been implementing a focused strategy, investing substantially in talent, technology, marketing and sales to help Zoopla improve the service it offers consumers and meet its ambitious growth plans.

About Zoopla

Hello. We're Zoopla. A property website and app.

We know you're not just looking for a place to live. You're looking for a home.

Yeah, we've got over a million properties for you to browse.

Tools that let you filter them in all kinds of clever ways.

And reliable house price estimates, so you can be sure you aren't paying over the odds.

But we know you're looking for more than that.

Because that first flat won't just be a 'great investment opportunity'.

It'll be the feeling of starting out on your own.

That extra bedroom won't just mean another £20K on the re-sale price, it'll mean having your sister over to stay.

And that bungalow won't just be a way to release some equity, it will be a chance to spend more time with the grandkids.

We know that searching for a home is about more than just checking its price, location and features (important as all those things are).

What really matters is how it makes you feel.

We know what a home is really worth.

So let us help you find yours.
