Founder of Zoopla named ‘Best Startup Leader/CEO’ at Guardian Awards for Digital Innovation

Alex Chesterman, Founder and CEO of leading property portal, Zoopla.co.uk has been named ‘Best Startup Leader/CEO’ at the 2012 Megas - the Guardian Awards for Digital Innovation. The awards were handed out at a ceremony last night at The Science Museum, with this award being one of the most hotly contested and coming with a prize of £20,000 of advertising with Guardian.
The Guardian Awards for Digital Innovation focus on entrepreneurial activity and recognition of the creativity of the UK's digital scene and are selected by an impressive panel of judges which includes well-known entrepreneurs, media and technology leaders and journalists. Hundreds of entrants were narrowed down by the judges to three finalists in each category and Zoopla was also shortlisted as one of the finalists in the ‘Best Startup Business’ category.
