Johnston Press property websites now powered by Zoopla

5th March 2012

Through an exclusive partnership with Zoopla, leading independent media group Johnston Press plc has today launched a new property platform across all of its 273 local websites.

The new property websites, which provide Johnston Press with a market-leading online property offering, will be a clear win for agents and developers who currently advertise with Zoopla and will extend the distribution and exposure of their properties onto hundreds of leading local websites across the UK.

Johnston Press publishes 18 daily newspapers including the Yorkshire Evening Post, The Scotsman and Portsmouth News as well as 237 weekly newspapers and operates over 270 local websites including Scotsman.com which was the most popular regional press website in the second half of 2011 with over 2.5 million unique users per month. Johnston Press will be supporting the launch of the new property websites with both online and offline marketing activities across all of their titles and websites.

This latest strategic partnership for Zoopla further extends the unrivalled exposure it offers advertisers to home movers in the UK, operating both the #2 property website in the UK with over 12 million visits per month and exclusively powering the property search on over 500 leading independent local and national websites.

Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Zoopla said: “We are delighted to be launching this strategic partnership with Johnston Press, one of the UK’s leading regional media groups. It is a win for consumers and advertisers of both businesses, giving consumers of Johnston Press media access to an enhanced online property offering and providing advertisers on the Zoopla network access to an even wider audience across the UK.”

Joe Slavin, Managing Director, Johnston Press Digital Classifieds added: “A key reason for partnering with Zoopla is the great technological features they bring to our new online property offering and Zoopla.co.uk is a proven winner with over 12 million monthly visits.”

Hello. We're Zoopla. A property website and app.

We know you're not just looking for a place to live. You're looking for a home.

Yeah, we've got over a million properties for you to browse.

Tools that let you filter them in all kinds of clever ways.

And reliable house price estimates, so you can be sure you aren't paying over the odds.

Because that first flat won't just be a 'great investment opportunity'.

It'll be the feeling of starting out on your own.

That extra bedroom won't just mean another £20K on the re-sale price, it'll mean having your sister over to stay.

And that bungalow won't just be a way to release some equity, it will be a chance to spend more time with the grandkids.

We know that searching for a home is about more than just checking its price, location and features (important as all those things are).

What really matters is how it makes you feel.

We know what a home is really worth.

So let us help you find yours.
