Zoopla raises over £1,100 for Katharine House Hospice in 2019

26th February 2020

Zoopla’s Brackley office raises over £1,100 for Katharine House Hospice in 2019

Zoopla, the UK’s most comprehensive property destination, is proud to announce that its office in Brackley has raised over £1,100 for the Katharine House Hospice, its chosen charity for 2019. The 36-strong team at the office, which helps estate agents across the UK with industry-leading software; Jupix, chose Katharine House as its charity partner in 2019.

The team at Zoopla’s Brackley office has raised the sum from activities including a summer raffle and a 5km Santa Splash Challenge, as part of its goal to help the local community. Katharine House Hospice is a charity that provides specialist palliative care for adults with life-limiting conditions across North Oxfordshire, South Northamptonshire & South Warwickshire.

Commenting on the donation Emma Beard, Zoopla’s charity champion in Brackley, said: ”We are extremely proud that we are able to support such an important local charity. By committing to fundraising for Katharine House, we help ensure the charity can continue with its great work in the region, making a real difference to the local community.”

Felicity Hills, Senior Philanthropy Officer at Katharine House Hospice, said “I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part in Jupix’s fundraising activities. The team’s incredible support means that hundreds of people in our community affected by life-limiting illness can get the specialist care they need, when and where they need it.

“Only 25% of Katharine House’s costs are covered by the government, meaning we must raise more than £3m from our community every year. Without the support of businesses like Zoopla, we simply wouldn’t be here. Thank you so much for your amazing enthusiasm and creativity!”

The donation from Zoopla’s Brackley office is part of the company’s wider efforts to support good causes close to its offices the length and breadth of the UK. In 2019 teams at its offices benefitted over 40 good causes and raised over £66,000 to help those most in need.
