Zoopla’s Redruth office raises over £7,800 for Cornwall Air Ambulance in 2019

26th February 2020

Zoopla, the UK’s most comprehensive property destination, is delighted to announce that its office in Redruth has raised over £7,800 for the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, its chosen charity for 2019. The 57-strong team at Redruth, which helps estate agents across the UK with industry-leading software, chose the Air Ambulance as its charity partner in 2019.

The team at Zoopla’s Redruth office raised the sum from activities including a skydive, a 25km trek in the Brecon Beacons and a summer raffle, as part of its mission to help the local community.

The Cornwall Air Ambulance has flown over 28,000 missions since it was founded in 1987 and takes an average of 12 minutes to get to an incident, crucial for a rural county like Cornwall. Its current fleet of helicopters are in need of a £2.5 million upgrade to make them suitable for 21st century equipment and needs.

Commenting on the donation David Guffick, one of Zoopla’s charity champions in Redruth, said: ”We are extremely proud that we are able to support such an important local charity. All of the team here are delighted that we’ve been able to raise so much. By committing to fundraising for the air ambulance, we help ensure that the charity is able to continue with its great work in the region and making a real difference to the local community.”

Stephanie Bray, Corporate Fundraising Officer at The Cornwall Air Ambulance saide “Cornwall Air Ambulance are so grateful to the team from Zoopla who have kindly supported the charity for the last 12 months. The team has trekked, ran, baked and everything in-between to help their local air ambulance, and they have been a real pleasure to partner with. Their incredible donations will help to fund Cornwall Air Ambulance’s life saving missions in the county”

The donation from Zoopla’s Redruth office is part of the company’s wider efforts to support good causes close to its offices the length and breadth of the UK. In 2019 teams at its offices benefitted more than 40 good causes and raised over £66,000 to help those most in need.
